Emperor Foundation has been committed to boost youth development and social inclusion. Through the “Senior-Junior Development Programme” collaboration with the Neighbourhood Advice-Action Council, they have launched the "Young Barista Training Program" in partnership with their social enterprise, "Coffee Bunnies". The program recruits grassroots youth aspiring to become baristas, providing them with professional training and encouraging them to pursue their dreams and develop their talents. Currently, 8 trainees have completed the training, and the program aims to recruit more motivated individuals in the future.
Recently, the program successfully organized a coffee tasting event at the Emperor Group Centre. Four young baristas who have completed the training showcased their coffee brewing and latte art skills to the Emperor Group employees, offering them the opportunity to savor specialty coffee during their busy work schedules, powering them up and also inspiring the baristas to pursue their dreams.
Dr. Albert Yeung, Chairman of the Emperor Group, led a group of Emperor Entertainment Group artists, including Michelle Wai, Catherine Chau, Vincy Chan, Angela Hui, Aiden Hung, Elly Lam, Suey Kwok, Andy Lai, Polly Lau and Kenneth Lai and Justin Chu, to cheer on the young baristas. Over 200 Emperor Group employees actively participated in the event, creating a lively atmosphere. In addition to purchasing Coffee Bunnies' self-produced coffee drip bags and cold brew bags, colleagues also embraced an eco-friendly and resource-saving approach by bringing their own coffee cups to support the young baristas and practice a green lifestyle. They highly praised the performance of the young baristas and expressed their strong support for providing a platform for their growth and development.
Vice Chairman of the Emperor Group, Mr. Alex Yeung, spontaneously received guidance from the young baristas and learned latte art techniques. The young baristas enthusiastically shared their internship experiences with him. Mr. Yeung stated, "This event is a Showtime for the young baristas to showcase their skills. I hope they can gain work experience and confidence through practical training, while also raising awareness and support for social enterprises and youth development." He further expressed the group's commitment to promoting social integration and harmony across different sectors of society, encouraging employees to contribute to the community, and using the power of the enterprise to inspire more acts of kindness, achieving sustainable win-win outcomes for both the community and the business.
Emperor Foundation and the Group will continue to fulfill corporate social responsibilities and make further contributions to youth development and social inclusion.
