"Walk for Hospice 2009", a charity event jointly organized by Emperor Foundation and Society for the Promotion of Hospice Care (SPHC), was held on 15 November (Sunday) at Braemar Hill, Norh Point. The event has received overwhelming response that with over 100 Emperor staff forming teams to join the walk. EEG artistes also attended the kick-off ceremony to cheer on the walkers.
The kick-off ceremony was officiated by Ms. Semon Luk, Chairperson of Emperor International Holdings Limited, Dr. C H Leong, the Honorary President of the SPHC, EEG artistes William Chan and Vincy. As "puzzle" is the theme of the walk, the officiating guests attached mega puzzle pieces which delivered various messages about life onto the backdrop and sounded the horns to kick off the walk. The fund raised in this event will be donated to SPHC for its promotion of hospice and palliative care.
