It is the traditional virtue of the Chinese nation to be kind and helpful, and making contributions to the public welfare and passing on love are common values in today’s society. For almost 80 years, Emperor Group has been adhering to its philosophy of “From the community, To the community”, implementing corporate social responsibility and giving back to society actively to support the weak in the community. In late August, EEG artist Liu Junge and the Group’s volunteer team made a visit to the elderly in Yong’anli, Jianwai Street, conveying their warm blessings in the season of unity.
Liu and the volunteer team paid home visits to the elderly citizens who live alone, or with physical or financial difficulties. They tried to learn about the challenges that they were facing in daily life, sending their heartfelt support to the elderlies. In celebration of Mid-Autumn Festival, each elderly family was gifted a box of mooncake filled with wishes from the Group. The elderlies expressed their gratitude to Dr. Albert Yeung, Chairman of Emperor Group, and the Group’s volunteers for their continuous caring, as well as their enthusiasm in community involvement.
The personal visit and caring, along with artist Liu Junge and the volunteers’ sincere companionship, has brought the warmth and love to each of these families. It once again reiterated the Group’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and social participation in Yong’anli district, and its contribution to improve the quality of life for the communities.
Emperor Group has been working closely with the district office of Yong’anli, Jianwai Street on organizing various charitable events, delivering care and companionship to the elderly in the community, such as the “Love of Chef Nic" luncheon event at Beijing Emperor Group Centre. Bei Chuan, the guest chef from “Chef Nic’s Laboratory” was invited to prepare creative healthy cuisine for the elderly in the community, and shared the healthy recipes. Last year, Emperor Group attended the premiere of the micro-film "Time goes by slowly!" as a representative of the "Excellent Corporation of the Love Alliance", joined hands with the official parties to share its experience on social caring and visions of philanthropy under the leadership of the Group Chairman Dr. Albert Yeung.
