Staff members of Emperor Group’s Beijing office paid a visit to Albert Yeung Sau Shing Charity Foundation (Shunping) Elderly Care Centre and Albert Yeung Sau Shing (Shunping, China) Elderly Care Centre on 6th - 7th July, with support from Social Workers Across Borders and local officials.
Upon arrival, over 50 volunteers from different business units and departments of the Group’s Bejing office first met the elderlies in dormitories, where they got to know them, combed their hair and gave them massage, followed by a half day outdoors activities during which the two parties share some farming fun. One the next day, volunteers further interacted with the elderlies with group games. Though it was a short stay of 2 days, volunteers managed to show their care and concern for the elderlies, who found it very touching.
Volunteers were happy to be able to do something for the elderlies and understand more about the Group’s beliefs in charity.
