"Oxfam Trailwalker 2006" has been solemnly held from November 10 to 12, 2006. The Emperor Foundation formed 3 teams to join the walk this year, namely "The Parlous Men", "The Mountaineers" and "Trailwalk Warrior". The staff of Emperor Group formed two teams while one was formed by retired disciplined services officers. The number of participants this year hit the record high. The participants were required to traverse the 100km MacLehose Trail from Pak Tam Chung and to the Perowna Barracks, which was the destination that located in So Kwun Wat in Tuen Mun, within 48 hours. All the funds raised will be used to support the poverty alleviation and development projects of Oxfam. To arouse the morale of the teams, Emperor Group also formed a supporting team with over 50 members to provide lots of delicious food, limousine service and clothing for the participants.
The team members aimed to complete the 100km MacLehose Trail, therefore, they had training on alternate weekends. Sometimes, they even walked overnight. The time they have spent on practicing was over 100 hours. Not only the senior management of Emperor Group participated in Trailwalker, but also Sun Boy'z, a singer group of the Emperor Entertainment Group Limited, supported the event by joining the 1st section of the walk. Finally, "Trailwalk Warrior" spent 24 hours and 47 minutes, which reached the record high, to finish the walk.
