On 19 October, 30 staff of Grand Emperor Hotel provided voluntary service in "Caritas de Macau - Lar De Nossa Senhora Da Penha Residential Home", a children centre which provides care and training for abandoned children with severe physical and mental disabilities. The volunteers renovated the centre's dining room, prepared food and organised a party for the children.
After a day of hard work, the dining room has taken on an entirely new look with mural painting that features a deep sea theme. The volunteers also raised 50 thousand dollars for purchasing heating/cooling units for the centre. Before the celebration party started, Mr. Jimmy Tang, General Manager of Grand Emperor Hotel, delivered a speech. He thanked the volunteers for supporting the activity and highlighted benefits the activity brought, "the volunteers did not only renovate the dining room, but also enhanced their team spirit through cooperation in painting walls and organising activity." He also praised the volunteers for saving cost and promoting environment conservation by reusing discarded materials.
The party started after the speech. Volunteers and children happily enjoyed the tasty meal and had a delightful Sunday.
