“The 2018 Emperor Group Volunteer Tour: Beijing and Shunping” was successfully held on 27 and 28 December. Together with the Yong’anli community and the organisation Social Workers Across Borders, a number of 20 Emperor Group volunteers from Beijing visited the local community in Yong’anli in the Chaoyang district in Beijing and the “Albert Yeung Sau Shing (Shunping, China) Elderly Care Centre” in Hubei province to provide volunteer works and spend precious time with seventy elderlies.
The atmosphere was brought to a climax with the participation of Henry Prince Mak and Qin Mingyue, artistes of Emperor Entertainment Group. After Henry’s performance, elderlies received New Year gifts from Qing Mingyue and our volunteers.
Mr. Sun Hongjiang, the Shunping Vice Chairman of CPPCC thanked Emperor Group, the Yong’anli community as well as Group volunteers for coming all the way to Shunping to provide voluntary services. He wishes that the environment of society will become an even more caring, well-rounded in order to fulfill seniors’ needs in their later years.
Following the leadership of Dr. Albert Yeung, Chairman of Emperor Group, the Group has been making its best effort in responding the society and giving back to the public. It has set up two charitable foundations – “Emperor Foundation” and “Albert Yeung Sau Shing Charity Foundation” successively to organise a variety of activities, in which all staff members are highly encouraged to participate for their own well-being and join force to become better global citizens both as individuals and members of the Group. In the future, the Group will continue to adopt the philosophy “From the community, to the community” in moving forward philanthropic practices.
