(April 28, 2016, Hong Kong) Dr. Albert Yeung Sau Shing, Chairman of Emperor Group, once again earned the title “China’s Top 10 Philanthropist” at the 13th China’s Charity Chart Award (2016) Presentation Ceremony today (April 28), with which his efforts in charity was acknowledged for another time. “Model Philanthropic Artiste”, the highest-ranking title for an artiste, was also bestowed upon Charlene Choi and Simon Yam, artistes of Emperor Entertainment Group and Emperor Motion Pictures respectively. Mr. Alex Yeung, Corporate Executive of Emperor Group, also attended the ceremony.
This is the eighth year in a row that Dr. Yeung has earned this title, which he first did in 2009. He has been making efforts for charity works in Hong Kong and the mainland, with special attention to elderly and hospice services. Up till now, there are 9 elderly care centres sponsored by his eponymous Albert Yeung Sau Shing Charity Foundation, spanning across Hong Kong, Hubei, Hebei and Guangxi, to provide medical, hospice, psychiatric consultation and other services. Following Albert Yeung Sau Shing (Changli, China) Elderly Care Centre in Changli County, Hebei Province, which is expected to start operation in the second quarter of 2016, the Foundation has added two more onto its list. The 8th and 9th projects are situated in Yongfu and Fusui County, Guanxi Province, to be put into service by the end of this year.
"China's Charity Chart" has been organised by China Philanthropy Times on a yearly basis since 2004 under the supervision of Ministry of Civil Affairs of China and China Association of Social Workers. The award ceremony this year was held in Beijing Yangqi Lake International Convention and Exhibition Centre, attended by prominent entrepreneurs and entertainment celebrities, including Mr. Ismail Amat, Secretary General of The Standing Committee of 10th National People's Congress.
