The sixth "China Charity Award" ceremony, hosted by the PRC's Ministry of Civil Affairs, was held at the Great Hall of People in Beijing last Friday (15 July). Dr. Albert Yeung Sau Shing, chairman of Emperor Group, was awarded the "China Charity Award - The Most Caring Individual Donor Award" for the fourth time, beating nearly 800 candidates.
This award was presented to Dr. Albert Yeung Sau Shing by Vice Premier of the State Council Hui Liangyu, Vice Chairman of the National People's Congress Hua Jianmin, and Vice Chairman of CPPCC Zhang Meiying. The awarding of the "China Charity Award" is done directly by the leadership of the State Council in a very strict way. Of all, the "China Charity Award - The Most Caring Individual Donor Award" is the most prominent award and goes to only 20 winners. Dr. Albert Yeung Sau Shing was first given this honor in 2005 and has won it for the past 3 years running from 2008. In addition, Dr. Albert Yeung Sau Shing was also elected as one of "China's Top Ten Philanthropists" in April of this year and entered into the "China's Charity Chart."
