On 29 September 2020, Emperor Group was presented with the “The Most Outstanding Caring Award (Enterprise Group)” at the Industry Cares Recognition Scheme 2020 organized by Federation of Hong Kong Industries (“FHKI”) in recognition of its remarkable achievement in creating positive and shared social values.
The FHKI first organized the Industry Cares Recognition Scheme in 2013 to recognize companies that bring good benefits to society and support more companies to implement CSR. The Scheme attracted more than 100 companies to participate this year, and Emperor Group was shortlisted after several rounds of assessment and was finally granted one of the six special awards The Most Outstanding Caring Awards.
Over the years, Emperor Group together with its subsidiaries adhered to the philosophy of “From the Community, To the Community”, continuously making positive contributions to the society. During the year of 2019 - 2020 the Group has organized more than 10 CSR-related events in Hong Kong and Mainland China. In response to the outbreak of COVID-19, this January, Emperor Group made a donation of medical protection supplies and funds totaling CNY 10 million through the Emperor Foundation to support epidemic prevention work in Hubei Province and Hong Kong. Followed by this, the Group set up epidemic prevention materials collection points at its residential and commercial properties. Batches of disinfectant and hygiene products were donated to the elderly and the disabled in Hong Kong through local charities. Besides, Emperor International Holdings Limited held a charity sale together with Foodlink Foundation in January this year, the raised fund was donated to Foodlink to prepare a New Year dinner to those in need. Every year, employees of Emperor Group in Beijing and Hong Kong, along with EEG artists form a volunteer group to visit the elderly at “Albert Yeung Sau Shing Elderly Service Centre” across the country. In education field, “Emperor Foundation Scholarship” provides financial assistance to all twelve registered tertiary institutions in Hong Kong and primary school in Mainland China . Emperor Group and its subsidiaries are actively implementing corporate social responsibility, making contributions to the society in different ways.
“The Most Outstanding Caring Award (Enterprise Group)”, is a significant recognition for the Group’s CSR efforts. In the future, Emperor Group will continue to make unremitting efforts to give back to the community.
