On 5 Dec 2019, “Spirit from Wealth” 2019 China Annual Conference on Philanthropy was successfully held in Beijing. Emperor Group was presented with the "2019 China Charity Enterprise" award, together with other award-winning companies including State Grid, PetroChina, China Construction Bank, Alibaba, and Roche Pharmaceuticals, etc.
Since 1942, Emperor Group has grown and expanded into a diversified group of businesses that include financial services, property, watch and jewellery, entertainment, hospitality, media as well as furniture and furnishing. Six companies within the Group are listed on the Main Board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong. Under the leadership of Dr. Albert Yeung, Chairman of Emperor Group, the Group adhered to the philosophy of “From the Community, To the Community” for nearly 80 years, fulfilling corporate social responsibility and giving back to society actively. The Group set up “Emperor Foundation” in 1997 and “Albert Yeung Sau Shing Charity Foundation” in 2008. Emperor Foundation promotes sustainable social development, covering education, medical, culture and environment; while Albert Yeung Sau Shing Charity Foundation focuses more on promoting the development of elderly and hospice services. The Foundation has made a variety of donations in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and overseas.
