Based on the belief of understanding among nations, the creators of the entire Buddy Bear Project invited 120 artists from all over the world to Berlin, where they together painted their bears which represent their home countries in a big studio in one week's time. They stand peacefully hand in hand to represent 120 United Nations member states in the Exhibition of "United Buddy Bears" taken place in Berlin in the year 2002 and 2003. The Buddy Bear activities combine the significance of promotion of art, major messages and donations to charity organizations in aid of children in need.
In 2004, with the support of Hong Kong Government, the Exhibition is held in Hong Kong Victoria Park in May and June. Along with this, Emperor Foundation has contributed HKD 1 million for the Exhibition, in aid of UNICEF and those worldwide organizations helping children in need.
