In October 2021, both Emperor Foundation and Albert Yeung Sau Shing Charity Foundation received Certificate of Appreciation from the Social Welfare Department for actively promoting volunteer work.
Since 1998, Social Welfare Department (SWD) has been promoting the "Volunteer Movement" for more than 20 years. Nowadays, the development of volunteering has become quite mature and popular, and the mode of volunteering is becoming more and more innovative and diversified. To avoid duplication with other organizations and to optimize the use of social resources, SWD has decided to retire the Volunteer Movement by the end of this year.
Established in 1997 and 2008 respectively, Emperor Foundation and Albert Yeung Sau Shing Charity Foundation have organized various activities to motivate Emperor Group’s staff and artists to reach out to the disadvantaged groups in need and provide direct financial support to various third-party charitable projects.
