In order to promote the spirit of caring elderly and to raise the public awareness about their needs, the “Senior Citizen’s Day” initiated by The Hong Kong Council of Social Service held on the 3rd Sunday in every November. Responding to its concept, also to demonstrate the charitable spirit of the Group, the vice chairman of Emperor Group, Mr Alex Yeung, recently led a volunteer team formed by the colleagues from group business units including Emperor International, Emperor Capital, Emperor Financial Service, Emperor Watch & Jewellery, Emperor Cinemas and The Emperor Hotel, to sharing love and sending care to the elderly singletons and families of elderly doubletons living in Tuen Mun Butterfly Estate with the goodies bag which contains the seasonal soup bag sponsored by Emperor Foundation and other daily necessities prepared by Yan Chai Hospitals.
After having event briefing and took the visiting note, Mr Yeung and the volunteer team carried a tons of goodies bag to meet and greet the 80 elderly (40 of elderly singletons and 20 families of elderly doubletons).
It is always our group philosophy to be people-oriented. Walking through the road of contributing to the community by providing those in need a physical and mental fulfillment, we also aim to gel all the coworkers in the Group for the same goal in philanthropy, for spreading the spirit of helping each others.
