After being awarded the "Top 10 Charity Stars in the PRC" in October, Dr. Albert Yeung Sau Shing was honoured the "China Charity Award" on 20 November 2005 in the China Charity Conference held at the Great Hall of People in Beijing. This further marked his contributions in the area of charity. Over the past 20 years, Dr. Yeung has donated over RMB 100 million dollars to the mainland, helping the sick children in China to receive medical treatment and other charitable activities.
The result was evaluated, voted and publicly announced by the selection committee. Appointed by President Hu Jintao and Premier Wen Jiabao, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council Hui Liangyu came to the conference to express his warmest congratulations to the awardees of the "China Charity Award". Vice Premier Hui Liangyu, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of National People's Congress Ismail Amat, Fu Tieshan, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Adbul'ahat Abduirixit, Li Meng, and the Party and the national leaders presented the "China Charity Award" to Dr. Albert Yeung.
