In celebration of Chinese New Year, Emperor Foundation and the Lutheran Hong Kong invited 30 elderlies to attend an exclusive “Chinese New Year Movie Party” held at the Emperor Cinemas at Entertainment Building Central. The event venue was sponsored by Emperor Cinemas. Led by a team of volunteers from Emperor (International), the party brought the elderlies on the big screen for a sensory enjoyment all the way from their homes in New Territories. Accompanied by comfortable seating, they enjoyed the movie with the hand-made vegan burgers, popcorns and drinks prepared by the Roomsbar of cinemas and the Foundation, which made the party surrounded by laughter. The party also excited some elderlies for enjoying a movie experience at cinemas for the very first time. At the end of the viewing session, the volunteers presented New Year gift bags to each of the elderlies, each of which contained warm wishes from the Foundation and volunteers, wishing each elderly a good health, fortune and happiness in the new year ahead.
