On May 28, 2016, volunteers from Emperor Foundation made another move to visit the elderly in nursing homes, this time at Longevity Palace on Waterloo Road, to celebrate Dragon Boat Festival.
The Foundation was joined by Jade Club again, which kick-started the party with their signature “chair-based dance”. Volunteers and residents moved their arms and torsos to the music and had fun together. They then let their creativity run wild and handcrafted “Dragon-boat banana boats” with colourful fresh fruits. Volunteers gave out festive rice dumplings and photos they had just took with residents as gifts before they left, putting the activity to a perfect end.
