The annual fund raising event “Hike for Hospice”, organized by Society for the Promotion of Hospice Care (SPHC), took place on March 8th, 2015 (Sunday) at Tai Lam Country Park, Yuen Long. The event has got tremendous support from the business sectors, organizations and social communities since its establishment in 1992. For the past 21 years, SPHC has been dedicated to promote the development of hospice care services, offer life and death education programmes to local communities, and deliver positive values of life to the general public and beyond. Emperor Entertainment Group (EEG) has always spared no effort to charity. This year, in support of the platinum sponsorship of Emperor Foundation, its artistes Angela Hui and Alex attended the kick-off ceremony and cheered for all the hikers. The kick-off ceremony was officiated by Ms. Semon Luk, Chairperson of Emperor International Holdings Limited; Mr. John Tsang Chun-wah, GBM, JP, Financial Secretary; Dr. Leong Che-hung, GBM, GBS, OBE, JP; Mr James E Thompson, GBS; EEG artistes Angela Hui and Alex. Hundreds of hikers gathered early in the morning at Tai Lam Country Park, ready for the start of charity event. After one and a half hour of hike, the contesters completed the fund-raising route and enjoyed their lunch in the beautiful nature.
