"Emperor Cinemas Plus+ (Tai Wai)" made its highly anticipated debut on July 22 at The Wai, the new landmark shopping mall above Tai Wai MTR Station, marking the first cinema in Tai Wai. The opening ceremony was officiated by Dr. Albert Yeung, Chairman of Emperor Group, and Mr. David Tang, Property and International Business Director of MTR Corporation. The new cinema spans two floors and features six independent theaters with a total of 912 seats, including a Dolby Atmos theater with a capacity of 185 people, offering moviegoers a premium environment, innovative concepts, and high-quality dining options.
Inspired by the anticipation of unwrapping a gift, Emperor Cinemas Plus+ (Tai Wai) incorporates flowing ribbon-like lines throughout the different spaces of the two floors, showcasing the vibrancy and dynamism of the cinema. The design emphasizes the use of fashionable neutral tones and highlights the texture of materials, creating a simple, natural, yet stylish and elegant atmosphere. The extensive use of special glass enhances the sense of openness, and the lighting accentuates the streamlined design, creating a soft and comfortable visual experience.
To provide a 360-degree immersive visual experience, all the independent theaters at Emperor Cinemas Plus+ (Tai Wai) are equipped with Dolby theater sound systems and utilize 4K projection systems throughout the entire cinema, delivering a breathtaking visual and sound feast to the audience. One of the theaters is equipped with a Dolby Atmos system, featuring 44 speakers that create a surround sound experience, making the audience feel as if they are immersed in the storyline. The sound comes from all directions, including overhead, creating exceptionally clear, full, detailed, and immersive audio effects, delivering a comprehensive entertainment experience.
