Emperor Motion Pictures has always endeavored to produce and distribute high quality films with equal emphasis on both commercial and art. Looking ahead to the 2022 film series, a number of masterpieces are around the corner, featuring some of the top directors and extravagant cast, including highly-anticipated and epic production “Once Upon a Time in Hong Kong”, and this is also the first time that the look of Tony Leung, Andy Lau and Charlene Choi (A Sa) in the film was released to the public. What’s more, “Detective vs Sleuths”, “Mama's Affair”, “We Are Family”, “Triad 2”, “Life Must Go On” and “Ci wei” which is directed by Gu Changwei, starring Ge You and Wang Junkai, will also make their debut soon!
“Customs Frontline” is the major project that will start shooting soon. This film is directed by Herman Yau, featuring Jacky Cheung, Nicholas Tse, Karena Lam, Cya Liu, with special starring Francis Ng. And it has become the talk of the town as soon as the news released. Another film “Under Current” directed by Alan Mak and co-starring Aaron Kwok, Simon Yam, Raymond Lam and Alex Fong, is also under preparation. In the past year, Emperor Motion Pictures has produced a number of successful productions, and a series of sequels are coming up, such as " Cliff Walkers 2" with director Zhang Yimou, and " Ready o/r Knot 2" and " Triad 3" are also in production.
In the midst of the epidemic, Emperor Motion Pictures didn't stop, but even stepped up its efforts. The number of production has increased rather than decreased, 90% of which were local productions so that all the film practitioners could keep their jobs and work together to enhance the golden sign of "Hong Kong Cinema" to shine in markets all over the world!
With a total investment of more than HK$1.5 billion, Emperor Motion Pictures is optimistic about the future of the film industry and believes that movies are always the most popular entertainment for the public!
