The opening ceremony of the first Emperor Cinemas in Shenzhen was held in EP Mall in the city, on June 5, 2018. Dr. Albert Yeung, Chairman of Emperor Group, Mr. Huang Chu-biao, Executive Director of Shenzhen East Pacific Group attended the event, in the company of EEG artistes Simon Yam, Alex Fong, Michelle Wai, Kathy, Chen Bing, Chan Shek Sau, Kearen Pang, Vincy, Jeana Ho and Tsang Lok Tung.
Dr. Yeung said, “I am delighted to see Emperor Cinemas has finally set foot in Shenzhen, especially in EP Mall; well-situated at a premium location in the city’s CBD – Futian. Cinema is a core part of the retail business, now with the addition of Emperor Cinemas to fulfill the needs of the citizens in Shenzhen -- from shopping and dining outlets to entertainment and leisure facilities.”
Emperor Cinemas in EP Mall, Shenzhen, is the latest addition to the Group’s three other cinemas in The Mixc in Hefei, Shin Kong Place in Chongqing and Emperor Group Centre in Beijing. The cinema has a gross floor area of 2800 sq. m. with 9 premium houses designed to give moviegoers the most impressive and immersive cinematic experience. In particular, there is a house equipped with the latest ScreenX technology which allows the audience to enjoy the vivid motions on an expansive 270-degree screen. Another house is equipped with the immersive MX4D technology with which the audience can “feel” the action on the screen from the built-in motion and effects in seats around them, while the remaining 7 houses are all VIP houses.
