Chinese action blockbuster “Operation Red Sea” is jointly invested by Emperor Film Production Company Limited, Bona Film Group Limited, Naval Political Work Department Television Art Centre of the Chinese People's Liberation Army and Xingmeng Gongcheng Media (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. It is directed by Dante Lam and its gala premiere ceremony has taken place at Kowloonbay International Trade & Exhibition Centre on 27 February.
Dr. Albert Yeung, Chairman of Emperor Group, and Mr. Yu Dong, Chairman of Bona Film Group, have successfully invited Mr. Huang Lanfa, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office, Mr. Yang Jian, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office, Mr. Yang Yirui, Deputy Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic Of China in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Mr. Jack Chan, Acting Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr. Zhu Wen, Minister of Department of Publicity, Cultural and Sports Affairs of the Liaison Office, and Ms. Jade Lai, Political Assistant to Secretary for Home Affairs, as the officiating guests at the ceremony. It is indeed an honor for this gala premiere to be well hosted by the officials of the Liaison Office and the HKSAR Government.
At the beginning of the premiere ceremony, a spectacular dragon dance performance was held, which symbolizes the movie could achieve good box office results as easily as a dragon rides the wind and crests the waves at sea. Afterwards, Dr. Albert Yeung, Chairman of Emperor Group, and Mr. Yu Dong, Chairman of Bona Film Group, together with a group of officiating guests, and also director Dante Lam, producer Candy Leung, as well as protagonists Zhang Yi, Du Jiang, Huang Jingyu, Yin Fang, Jiang Luxia, Wang Yutian and Henry Prince Mak, hosted the switch-on ceremony altogether, wishing the “Red Sea Operation” could become a great box office success.
