[January 18, 2018 Hong Kong] China Gezhouba Real Estate and Emperor Cinemas have recently signed a cinema cooperation agreement at Emperor Hotel. Mr. He Jingang, Chairman of China Gezhouba Real Estate, and Dr. Albert Yeung, Chairman of Emperor Group, attended the signing ceremony. This marked a new chapter for China Gezhouba Real Estate and Emperor Group after signing the strategic cooperation agreement in November last year.
At the signing ceremony, Mr. He Jingang was accorded a warm welcome on his arrival by Dr. Albert Yeung, who placed high hopes on the future cooperation between the two parties. Dr. Albert Yeung said: "In the cooperation plan, China Gezhouba Real Estate can make full use of its comprehensive strength at high-quality real estate investment and operation, while we can draw on our rich experience and advantages in developing quality cinemas for many years, in a bid to further expand the high-end cinema market in the mainland. We will gradually broaden our cinema network to potential cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Hefei, Suzhou, Wuhan, Chengdu, Sanya, Chongqing and so on. And we are planning to invest in Wuhan and Nanjing in the first stage.” Dr. Albert Yeung expressed his gratitude for the support of China Gezhouba Real Estate, and continued: "The strength of the two companies is strong. If we heighten our strategic cooperation in the future by jointly establishing and operating cinema business, we will certainly create a brand new experience of movie watching."
Mr. He Jingang also foresaw the unprecedented success of the cooperation between two parties. He said: "We have maintained a good basis for cooperation. Based on the principles of mutual complementarity and win-win cooperation, we have established strategic cooperative partnership and actively explored opportunities for further cooperation through resource sharing. This agreement signifies a milestone in our partnership and I hope that we can continue to move forward and work together to achieve the greater good."
