(February 8, 2011, Hong Kong) China’s President Hu Jintao visited Albert Yeung Sau Shing Charity Foundation (Shunping) Elderly Care Centre at Baoding City, Hebei Province on Chinese New Year Eve (February 2), giving his festive regards to the elderlies and orphans there. It became headline news of Xinwen Lianbo on China Central Television on the 1st day of Chinese New Year, showing the government\'s recognition of the Centre\'s service quality.
Dr. Albert Yeung has been most concerned for the well-being of the elderly, especially those who are approaching the end of the lives. Ever since 2009, he has been funding the operation of the 8,600-square-metre Centre, which provides accommodation and medical services and is about 1.5 hour drive away from Beijing. There are now about 400 elderlies and orphans living in the Centre.
