Each anniversary celebration not only commemorates our achievements but also a motivation to pursue future goals. Gratitude is extended to all employees, partners, and supporters, with anticipation for creating more remarkable moments in the future.
In 2012, the Group launched a series of 70th anniversary celebrations, including over 1,000 employees who formed the number "70", embodying the spirit of unity throughout the Group at the opening ceremony. That same year, donations were made to various charitable projects in healthcare, disaster relief, elderly care, poverty alleviation, and cultural promotion, spanning Hong Kong, Mainland China, and overseas. Beneficiaries included Orbis Hong Kong, Social Workers Across Borders, and The Caring Hearts Photographic Society. Additionally, a series of promotional activities were held, including the distribution of 500,000 discount vouchers through the Group’s various retail networks, as well as a grand lucky draw. The Anniversary Celebration Gala Dinner was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, where over 2,000 distinguished guests from political, business, and entertainment circles filled 200 tables. The event featured spectacular performances by both local and international artistes.
To commemorate its 80th anniversary in 2022, Dr. Albert Yeung, Chairman of Emperor Group, and Mr. Alex Yeung, Vice Chairman of Emperor Group, made their voice-acting debut alongside Hins Cheung, artiste of Emperor Entertainment Group, in a special anniversary short video series titled "From Time To Timeless". The video series depicts two journeys across time, revisiting many significant moments in the Group's 80-year growth alongside Hong Kong. Entering the era of Digital Intelligence, the Group has consistently focused on applying innovative technology, extending to social care and promoting the digitalisation of charity. Building on the videos’ theme of revisiting the past, the Group launched an activity virtual charity tour centred on the theme of "happiness". Utilising technology, the tour shared local cultural and historical anecdotes with the elderly, including those who are frail or with difficulty in ambulation, offering them a chance to roam the community at premier vision. This created a journey filled with collective memories unique to Emperor Group and Hong Kong people. Over 800 seniors were invited to participate both online and offline, with the tour later opened to public registration. Additionally, the Group made donations to sponsor training service programmes for the elderly and youth through charitable organisations including Hong Kong Lutheran Social Service and The Neighbourhood Advice-Action Council.
