This year marks the 80th anniversary of the Emperor Group, which is a tremendous milestone. The Groups’ Hong Kong headquarters opened in the 90s, and since then every step of its development has been part of my memory as far as I can remember. I am grateful for the generous help from the Chairman and many senior members in the Group, who have inspired me with their precious wisdom learnt from decades of work experience. This gave me a solid start as I began to take an increasingly active role in the Groups’ development, such as overseeing the many property and cultural & creative industries projects in Hong Kong and the Mainland, setting up the Beijing head office, and expanding our business to key Mainland cities, Southeast Asia and other overseas markets.
The canon values I have inherited from my parents and grandparents are: always ensure a solid foundation when pursuing growth; never lose the will to win; and perseverance. They are my moral compass as I strive to take the Group from strength to strength, and seek a balance between my duty to the community, to the environment, and to our business. To celebrate 80 years of timeless creations, I will be collaborating with a group of young people and creative talents to pay tribute to the memorable moments the Group has gone through with the Hong Kong people over the years.
I look forward to our next journey towards another milestone of brilliant success, and our next quest for new possibilities as we walk together with all of our stakeholders in the Group, in the young generations and in the wider community. We will withstand the test of time by holding onto our timeless values.
